Portable enclosures suit large format electronics

OKW’s new Communitec is designed to provide an elegant new range of desktop/portable enclosures for large-format electronics. These enclosures suit applications from medical equipment to laboratory instrumentation. 

Features include an integrated handle and front control panel designed to accommodate 11.5 to 14 in touchscreen displays or membrane keypads. The panel is inclined 12 deg for comfortable operation of the controls. Below is an additional flat surface for front-mounted operating elements and connectors.  

Space on the sides accommodates connectors, ventilation or the attachment of measuring instruments. A recessed rear area protects plugs, sockets and cables. Non-slip rubber feet (supplied) on the base prevent skidding. 

Each enclosure comprises four sections: the main housing, operating panel, handle recess panel and bottom panel: all available as separate components for individual color combinations. Assembly is with tamperproof Torx screws. 

The enclosures are molded in UV-stable ASA+PC (UL 94 V-0).
